Note | Died aged eighty-three. Widow of Thomas Martin, whom she married, in Marlborough, 31 Jan. 1710.It is told that Mary Holmes, mother of Mary (Gove) (Martin) Stevens, with a friend, was seeing some friends off for N.E., and was carried to sea, in the chip, and hence had to come to the colonies. Records fail to substantiate this anbd it is possible that the adventure befell Mary Gove, herself. |
