Death given: between Jan. 1695 and 19 Oct. 1704,text; He was a freeman in (AnFile shows Thomas Birth: abt 1629 and Marys Birth: Abt 1629zzzz0 Sudbury in 1665; later a Lt., there, and generally is given the prefix "Mr.," in the records. In his will, made in 1658, Jacob Green stated that his dau. Mary had already received her share in his estate, so, unless she was a wwidow, when she m. Thomas Steevens the marriage took place before the will was made. Mary's brother, John Green, in his will made, 21 Feb. 1687-88, and proved, 4 Sept. 1688, gave to his brother, Jacob Green Sr., of Charlestown; to sister, Mary, wife of Thomas Steevens, and to her son John Steevens; to kinsmen: Thomas Steevens, Cyprian Steevens and Jacob Steevens, sons of Thomas Steevens; also names property in Sudbury; the inventory of his estate cites "his Coate of Armes," and the will is sealed with a crest. (Suffolk Probate, 1679.) Jacob Green, of Charlestown, receipts to Thomas Steevens of Stow, and Mary, his wife, executors of brother, John Green, late of Stow, Decd., for all that legacy of books covered with leather given him, Jacob Green Sr., 26 Mar. 1690; wit: Lauyr: Hammond and Jacob Green Jr. (Middlesex Deeds, 10:127.)
