The family moved from New York and settled in O'Connor a number of years ago. Mr. O'Gorman was one of the highly respected old settlers. Came to New York in 1865 from Ireland. But must have returned to Ireland if Thomas was born there. The O'Gorman name was just "Gorman" in Ireland and was changed when came to USA. The O'Dea/O'Gormans came to Greeley County and settled on a farm near O'Connor for three years and then moved to Spalding, Nebraska. Dennis, Roger and Thomas moved to Shamrock, Texas. John lived part time in Nebraska and part time in Texas. Nora and Agnes and their families moved to Cleveland, Ohio. |
