Deskford -- p. 675 Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae Part VI: 1731 ---- Walter Morison, ucen. by the Presb of Strathbogie 11th June 1722. He was attacked in Oct. 1725 by a fearful mob of Papists, appointed itinerant minister at Bellie and Rathven the 3rd Nov. after, the appointment was confirmed by the committee on the Royal Bounty 19th April 1727 with a salary of 28 Pounds per annum, on which he was ord. by the Presb. at Rathven 6th July following and enrolled a member of presb. j pres. to this par. by James, Earl of Findlater in Jan., and adm. 24th March 1731; died 19th Jan 1780, in his 88th ear and 53d min, leaving a son Mr. Colin. --[Presb., and Syn. Reg., Wodrow's Anal., and Corresp., Degrees King's Coll. Aberdeen, Bc]

1725 Deskford - Walter Morrison on 25th Aug 1725 he was appointed by the Presb. of Strathbogie to repair to the Chapel of St. Ninian at Enzie and to begin preaching, catechising, etc. till he was orderly withdrawn therefrom; he was described as "a preacher commissioned to this Presbytery and othere places thereto adjacent upon the Rotal Fund granted by H>M> King George and the Last General Assembly."
