An IGI Entry Form shows the Parents of William Louis Moore (b. 09 Oct 1865) as Joseph Moore and Ellen KERN. Joseph Moore was the enumerator of the 1880 Census. Could Joseph Moore have had more than one wife? The age differences and the birth of the first child and the birth of the last child would suggest this. In addition, two separate families show Joseph Moore's wife with different last names. David Griep's mother says Weir the IGI entry says Kern for William Louis Moore. However, the 1900 Census says she had 9 children, 6 living. 1880 census: Ellen Moore born in England, her father born in Ireland, her mother born in England. 1900 Census: Age 32 at time of marriage; Shows she had 9 children, 6 still living in 1900. The 1870 Census shows Hellen, the 1880 Census shows Ellen. An IGI Entry Form shows the Parents of William Louis Moore (b. 09 Oct 1865) as Joseph Moore and Ellen KERN. Joseph Moore was the enumerator of the 1880 Census. Could Joseph Moore have had more than one wife? The age differences and the birth of the first child and the birth of the last child would suggest this. In addition, two separate families show Joseph Moore's wife with different last names.
