Note	BIOGRAPHY: Professor of Philosophy and Regent at Marishall College. Roll of Alumni in Arts of the University of and King's College of Aberdeen 1596-1860 (Pio. Section and Grad. List) Pg 56 1717-21 Franciscus Skene, Marriensis natus V.D.M. ad Kinkell, acc. 1718, A.M.; LL.D. Maricahal College 1766; Reg. Mar. Coll. 1734-75. Was admitted 16th March 1734, one of the regents in Marishal College; and on the classes being fixed in 1753, became Professor of Civil and Natural History. He taught altogether for 41 years.
