Note

On his twenty-first birthday Isaac(7), the oldest son, received from his father Stephen a book listing the first ten children and their birthdays. The name of the eleventh child, Delilah was not listed in this gift book--she probably was born after the book was presented. A letter written by Isaac's daughter, Jan, lists eleven children of Stephen and Jemima, as given above; so does Adams' "Historical Gazetteer and Biographical Memorial of Catrtaraugus County."
