Note

Orphaned when came to America with his brother, Edmund. About 1866 "Red" Mike got to Seneca. He borrowed $600 from Michael Casey to purchase the "Garvey 60" and built his home near the spot where a cheese factory was later built.

Mike moved his family to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he worked as a night watchman. Mike and Catherine had 12 children, only six lived beyond infancy.
